Calories!

So I am a runner, not a good runner, but I run!  I usually log about 20 miles a week, but you could never tell by looking at me.  I don’t seem to lose any weight, yet I am out there 4 to 5 days a week.  I used to blame my thyroid or the fact that this is just the way I am made, but those are excuses. I wish I could just drop weight like I did 10 years ago, but I have to realize that I am almost 40 and my body acts like it.

I just started keeping track of all the calories I eat by using the app LOSE IT on the IPhone.  My issue now is based on my size I should be getting like 2,300 a day, but since I run 5 miles I have to add 1,000 to that.  SO 3,300 calories a day!!  HOW DO YOU DO THAT???  I just can’t seem to figure out how to eat healthy, but still consume that many calories a day.  Right now on a run day my net is 500 to 700.  I am eating healthy and staying away from fast food, red meat and BEER (Oh yes, I am going dry). 

It is just not fair.  Bad foods are high in calories and good foods are low.  What Crap!

I am hungry.  Time to go drink some more water… Ah Boo!
