Marathon Training
Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:56AM I am going to create a blog about my training for the Chicago marathon in Oct 2011. I hope this helps me stay on track and maybe will help someone else who is thinking of running.
So here it is another Saturday morning and I was supposed to get out and go 12 miles today. Every Saturday since I started this (5 weeks ago) the weather has been pure SHIT. Today it’s 49 degrees, cloudy, spit rain and WINDY. ALWAYS WINDY.
I made the choice today NOT to run. I am getting discouraged with my long runs because of this damn weather. Is this a SIGN? Is the weather on the day of the Chicago marathon going to SUCK, probably.
I think I will try and get on the treadmill and just do 6 miles tomorrow and hope next week is better.
Now if I could just work on this damn diet.
