COMCAST SUCKS

So here is my blog about COMSUCK!  I am going to detail all of my positive experiences with this company first.

OK and now all the crap that I have had to deal with! And this is edited, trust me!

1. In 2002 a Comcast service tech told me that the reason I got a terrible picture was because I had a center speaker above my TV.  I was told to move it and the picture would clear up.  He left without doing anything. 1 day off work
2. After I moved the center speaker the picture was still the same.  This time the tech said it was because I live in an apartment complex. 1 day off work
3. 2003 (This is the good one) I was told that my apt complex now had high speed internet.  I was sold the product and the installer came to HOOK ME UP!  After 2 hours he could not get it working and said that there must be an outage and would have to come back. 1 day off work
4. One week later the tech came back and still no dice! Was told the modem was bad and he did not have any more in the truck.  Would have to come back.  1 day off work
5. One week and a new tech with a new modem.  Can you guess what the outcome was?  Still no high speed internet.  I was told an outside line supervisor would have to come out. 1 day off work.
6. 2 days later the outside guy is coming..  NOW THIS WILL WORK FOR SURE.  I waited all day (or 12 to 4) and at 5 PM nobody showed!  I call and the dummy on the phone tells me that location is unserviceable.  REALLY!  NO CALL, NO Hey we messed up!  Instead I have to drive to return the modem I had for a month.  1 day off work
7. A bill comes for the high speed internet that never was hooked up and canceled.  Guess who has to call and argue that this NEVER WORKED.
8. In 2007 I ordered COMSUCK for my house and waited from 12 – 4 and at 5 I gave up because the tech never showed! 1 day off work
9. In 2008 my mom who has COMSUCK lost her internet.  It took them 1 week to determine it was a line issue outside.
10. In 2008 I had to have high speed internet and HD TV.  I ordered COMSUCK again.  This time my appt was from 8 – 11AM.  At 11:30 nobody and no phone call!  I called and they told me the tech was running late.  (Why can’t someone call me?) He shows at 1:30 and it takes him until 3:30 to hook me up. 1 day off work
11. 2009 my Mom’s internet is out again!  This time they tell her it is because they had a filter on the line and when they made the speed upgrade this caused her internet not to work.  It took them 3 days to find this out!
12. May 2009.  All my services go out for no reason.  I can’t get anyone out here to look at it for 3 days! NO TV, NO PHONE, NO INTERNET!  A tech comes out to fix the issue. AGAIN NOT IN THE HOUSE, but have to take the day off AGAIN!!!! 1 day off work
13. Last night again with another random outage which happens at least once every 2 weeks.  This time I call and get hung up on again.  This happens all the time when you call.  They don’t know how to put you on hold or transfer a call without you getting hung up on.  This outage lasted an hour which I think was a record.

In 7 years I have lost 9 days of work due to this company.  The issue was never in my house, yet always outside, or the fact that these idiot’s sold a product that was not available!

So why do I keep giving $150 + a month to this crappy company?  They are the only game in town to offer what I need when it comes to internet speed!  It’s not fair that they treat us like this!  They don’t care about you!  You are just one customer and you won’t cancel because if you do you are S.O.L.!

Please comment on your cable provider hell.  I like to hear what others go through!

COMSUCK down again today.  This time some issue at the node!  It's been down for another 2 hours!  COMCAST SUCKS!

Is this show really being remade?  I mean it only lasted 19 episodes in 1984/85.  I guess special effects are much better now and maybe the writing will be better.  Here is a clip!

I remember this show from the 80’s since I was an 80’s child and I remember being freaked out by the lizard people.  I did not like it and used to have to quickly switch channels.  I remember Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was in it.  I thought the show at the time was DUMB, but those damn lizard people made me a-scared!

Have we run out of ideas in this country that we have to recycle everything! 

I hope this remake fails because I really want Juliette to end up with Sawyer.  I mean that Kate is so not right for him! Right girlfriend!?

ABC This Fall!  I will review the show when I see it!

Top 10 Things I said I would never do!

This is meant to be a fun post, so don’t take it that Jimmy is just bitching again!

1. Get married – Um yeah met the love of my life and got hitched in 2006.
   
2. Have a baby – Well with marriage comes talks of a baby and then the act (which is always fun).  Zach was born in late August 2008.  I thought I would suck at this parent thing and that I could not deal with the crying, pooping and lack of a life.  It’s hard, but I love it and that is the strange part.
   Why just today I wiped a runny nose (not mine) with my fingers and thought nothing of it!
   
3. Buy an IPhone – Check my IPhone post.
4. Fly to a vacation spot -  I have done that many times.
   
   
5. Leave the country – The wife and I rocked Mexico in 2006.
   
6. Have a cat in my house – In 2007 we brought home the wife’s cat BABY.
   
7. Pay for radio – I must say that being in radio for many years I thought this one was easy not to break, but in 2003 a friend gave me an XM radio that he did not want.  Let’s just say I have been paying for radio ever since!  O&A PARTY ROCK!
8. Buy a house – Did that in 2004 and wish I had not.  I thought we were supposed to make money when you buy a house?
9. Go parasailing or anything that has me up in the air without being in a metal death capsule.
   
10. Watch Titanic – I am proud to say that to this day I have never seen that awful movie!  Will I ever cave?  STAY TUNED!

The point of all this babbling is to say that we live life saying that we will not do many things!  Maybe I should stop saying I WON’T EVER DO THAT, and just be open to the idea that MAYBE I MIGHT.

My IPhone = CRACK

I said I would never get one of these things, but after dealing with Windows Mobile 6.1 on the AT&T Tilt I was READY!

See I don’t really use my phone for cell calls, in fact I hate being on the phone.  I use my phone for Twitter, Facebook and the Internet.  I also text, but at this point the IPhone can’t do MMS yet.

Do you have the IPhone?  Do you find it addicting?  I can’t stay off this damn thing.  I am glad the battery life stinks (not really), if not I may never put it down.  I find myself playing mindless games like PAPER TOSS and Blackjack.  I have discovered PANDORA,SHIZAM and the Sirius/XM app which means I can take Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez everywhere.  I only use the IPod portion for my running and I use the NIKE app to track my miles and IT ROCKS!

Now for my negative thought on the IPhone.  Battery life is AWFUL.  I use the Tweetie app for 2 min and my battery goes from 100% to 98%.  WHY?  You look at the suggestions and they tell you to turn WI-FI off, Bluetooth off, don’t use games, use WI-FI for internet browsing… BLAH BLAH BLAH.  So basically don’t use the dame phone for the things you bought it for.  I hope Apple fixes the issues, or gives me a new battery when my phone does not charge after 9 months, but I doubt that will happen.

Don’t get me wrong.  I LOVE THIS PHONE, just wish it was PERFECT!
