Took them over an hour to figure out how to even UN-Throttle me since they admit a flaw in the system. The CS rep basically stated that the msg should have gone to me on the 7th when I reached 2 GB (Notice Not Top 5%... 2 GB), but we all know this is data is billed at night, which is why I did my test. The day started off great. We got downtown in plenty of time and got in the 10 min startl just fine. At 7:41 my race started. I was hoping to not get out of the gates too fast. My first mile was 10 min and some change. Too fast! I managed to slow the pace by mile 7 and was very happy. I ran 8 miles and was feeling great. Then I got hurt! I took a wrong step and hit a pothole with my right leg. It was like walking off a curb when you don't see it. My knee cap popped, but I did not think it was too bad so I ran another 2 miles. That entire time my right knee cap was clicking with every step. I did a run walk until about 14 miles and then the knee told me it was time to call it. I did not come this far and spend my entire summer running to not finish this damn thing!

Long story short I walked the rest and finished!

Look out 2012 I am coming for you!

Tomorrow

Here we are. Tomorrow is the day! 26.2 miles here we come!

We went and picked up my bib yesterday and it was nice, but really was getting in my head the magnitude of this run. The Bank Of America had a video running and my wife (LOVE HER) stopped and said “Let’s Watch This”.
